Lift Station 313 Capacity Upgrade

Indianapolis, Indiana

This project included several renovations to increase firm capacity from 33.7 MGD to 50 MGD. A new 36-inch force main was installed alongside the existing 48-inch line, with yard piping and new 36- and 48-inch knife gate valves, valve vaults, force main tapping, and a bypass header to connect the mains. Demolition work cleared space for lift station and wet well upgrades, including removal of electrical equipment, piping, pumps, and concrete. Restoration involved new concrete chambers and baffles to improve wet well flow, a new overhead crane, and interior upgrades like five new Flygt pumps, suction and discharge piping, HVAC, VFDs, electrical, and control equipment. The project concluded with yard restoration, including grading, fencing, paving, and seeding.
