169th Street Rehabilitation

American Structurepoint provided construction inspection services for this total road reconstruction LPA project that included full-depth HMA removal and replacement, new PCCP curb and gutter, PCCP sidewalk, traffic signal upgrades, and site restoration upgrades.
Phase I constructed 1.2 miles of newly placed concrete storm pipe and precast drainage structures from Arizona Avenue to Cline Avenue. Phase II reconstructed 0.5 mile of 169th Street from Lindbergh Avenue to Arizona Avenue and also included the rehabilitation and widening of Lake County Bridge No. 266 over the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad as well as reconstruction of the Norfolk Southern Railroad at-grade crossing. Phase III was a continuation of the reconstruction of 169th Street from Bertram Avenue to Lindbergh Avenue, consisting of a new storm sewer, replacement of the sanitary sewer and water main, full-depth bituminous pavement, concrete sidewalk and curbs replacement, improvements to street lighting, and traffic signal upgrades at Indianapolis Boulevard. Phase IV included reconstruction of approximately 1.1 miles of 169th Street from Harrison Avenue to Southeastern Avenue.

Phase I was 1.2 miles of newly placed concrete storm pipe and pre-cast drainage structures from Arizona Avenue to Cline Avenue. The work was part of a total road reconstruction project that included full-depth HMA removal and replacement, new PCCP curb and gutter, PCCP sidewalk, traffic signal upgrades, and site restoration upgrades.
Phase II of this project consisted of reconstruction of 0.5 mile of 169th Street from Lindbergh Avenue to Arizona Avenue. The existing 4-lane section was reconstructed with new storm sewers, curb, sidewalk, utility relocation, full-depth bituminous pavement (volumetric), chain-link fencing, signage, greenery, and signals using video detection.
Phase III is a continuation of the reconstruction of 169th Street from Bertram Avenue to Lindbergh Avenue. This project consists of a new storm sewer, replacement of the sanitary sewer and water main, full-depth bituminous pavement, concrete sidewalk and curbs replacement, improvements to street lighting, and traffic signal upgrades at Indianapolis Boulevard.
