US 31 Kokomo Corridor

Tipton and Howard Counties, Indiana

American Structurepoint led and managed the design team for the new 13-mile US 31 corridor with 36 new bridges and six interchanges, to improve safety, reduce traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and to provide for reliable and efficient movement of commerce and regional travel for this Statewide Mobility Corridor pilot project. The firm was responsible for all aspects of this multi-faceted project, including overall project coordination, plan production, environmental mitigation, and right-of-way acquisition. In the end, there were 28 total subconsultants working on the project, and roughly 60 American Structurepoint employees, past and present, who have had some measurable involvement with this project. The right-of-way acquisition effort included the tracking and coordination of 197 parcels, 72 of which were relocations and 25 condemnations.
