Whiting Lakefront Redevelopment

American Structurepoint provided comprehensive planning services to help plan and direct future growth and development within the community. American Structurepoint reviewed and analyzed current and past plans to ensure consistent goals and objectives were outlined in the comprehensive plan update. A lakefront redevelopment plan was then created as a roadmap for over $80 million in public improvements. Community involvement was key to the success of this project and American Structurepoint led these efforts, through methods ranging from steering committees, presentations, charrettes, surveys, direct mailings, and interviews. Lastly, to address changes in land use within these plans and ensure efficient and effective zoning procedures were in place for future development, American Structurepoint also updated the City's Unified Development Ordinance.
