State Street Redevelopment

American Structurepoint provided preliminary design work and construction program management for this $120 million project that will transform State Street into a pedestrian-friendly hub complete with plenty of extra-wide sidewalks, enhanced safety features, greenspaces, and ample bike paths. Safety was a major consideration when creating the project. The State Street Redevelopment Project (SSRP) will improve traffic safety and mobility for all users--vehicles, bikes, pedestrians, and transit. New and reconstructed sidewalks and bus stops improve pedestrian safety, and a dedicated bicycle path on the north side of State Street and south side of Stadium Drive separates cyclists and pedestrians to improve traffic flow and increase safety. Improved lighting, greenspace, trees, stormwater/drainage improvements, and wayfinding signage were installed to optimize safety and aesthetics and to minimize impact on the environment.
