Indianapolis-Marion County Community Justice Campus

American Structurepoint is part of a large and diverse design-build team led by AECOM/Hunt to provide architecture and structural engineering services for the Marion County Community Justice Campus in Indianapolis. American Structurepoint is the structural engineer of record for the Adult Detention Center (ADC) and Marion County Sheriff’s Building, as well as the core-and-shell architect for the new Sheriff’s Administration Building. The campus brings together community partners dedicated to a modern, holistic, data-driven approach to the Indianapolis justice system.

The ADC is a 3,000-bed, 718,000-sft, 5-story facility. Our architecture services involves designing the exterior skin of the 3-story, 83,000-sft sheriff’s department building, which includes the exterior walls, roof, expansion joints between the different buildings, loading dock, rooftop mechanical equipment room, stairs, and elevator shafts. Construction began in 2019 with expected completion in 2022.
