Westminster Village of West Lafayette

American Structurepoint’s architects, interior designers, and structural engineers designed the renovations for Westminster Village of West Lafayette. The renovation included an upgrade to the social center, the front lobby and seating/bistro area, the pub, the dining room, and a community room. American Structurepoint also contributed to a major renovation of one of the residential towers on the campus, where a memory care unit with 14 suites was added. In addition, 17 independent living apartments were converted into 21 assisted living apartments, and renovations occurred to common areas and amenities.

2023 Senior Housing News Architecture and Design Awards (National) – Third Place Renovation/Repositioning (Building Category)
American Structurepoint took an immersive approach to the design, inviting staff and residents to use virtual reality to see what the renovation would look like when complete. This approach allowed residents and staff to experience in real time the vision for the upgraded campus, including changes in the finishes, furniture, and amenities. American Structurepoint met with residents and staff at Westminster Village on numerous occasions to discuss the design and how it could improve the quality of life for residents. This feedback was extremely beneficial to the overall design process. The renovated areas and new memory care unit opened in spring 2023.
