Indianapolis, Indiana [April 27, 2026] – American Structurepoint President and Partner Cash Canfield has received the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Career Achievement Award, which honors alumni whose professional achievements have brought distinction to themselves, credit to the institute, and benefit to their communities. Canfield was recognized during Rose-Hulman’s alumni awards ceremony on April 25 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The Career Achievement Award is the institute’s highest distinction recognizing professional accomplishment and service. It celebrates alumni whose leadership and contributions have positively impacted their profession, their communities, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
A 1994 graduate of Rose-Hulman with a degree in civil engineering, Canfield joined American Structurepoint in 1997 as a roadway project engineer and has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility over nearly three decades of service.
During his 29-year career, he has played a significant role in transforming American Structurepoint from an Indiana-based, transportation-focused firm into a nationally recognized architecture and engineering company offering 11 integrated disciplines across 18 design centers nationwide. Since becoming president in 2024, Canfield has led the firm’s day-to-day executive operations while guiding continued strategic growth.
“I’m deeply humbled to receive the Career Achievement Award from Rose-Hulman,” said President Cash Canfield. “The foundation I built there has shaped my career and approach to leadership. I’m grateful for the education, values, and relationships the institute has provided, and I share this recognition with the talented people I’ve worked with throughout my career.”
Canfield has provided leadership on some of the most complex and high-profile transportation projects in Indiana and across the country, including the Hyperfix and Super I-70 projects in Indianapolis; the US 31 Kokomo Bypass in Kokomo; Keystone Parkway in Carmel; the Indiana approach to the Ohio River bridges East End Crossing design-build P3 project in Indiana; and major interstate improvements in Indiana and Northern Virginia. He has also helped expand the firm’s transportation design services into fast-growing markets such as Texas and Florida.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Canfield has remained deeply committed to service and engagement with the architecture and engineering profession and Rose-Hulman. He has been an active member of the Indiana Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) for more than 25 years, serving on its board of directors and as president from 2021 to 2022. He has also given back to Rose-Hulman through long-standing service on the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Board of Advisors and the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity Alumni Advisory Board. Canfield is especially proud of the American Structurepoint-Rose Hulman Scholarship, a $100,000 endowment he helped establish to support four to five outstanding civil engineering students each year.
