Jennings, Florida  – American Structurepoint proudly provided engineering services for a new trail at the Florida Welcome Center off southbound I-75. The trail is designed to honor our nation’s military heroes, and it’s located just south of the Florida-Georgia state line. Built by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the trail is the first of its kind located at an official state welcome center.

The new trail is named Florida’s Freedom Forever Trail, and it officially opens on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. As a subconsultant partner to engineering firm AtkinsRéalis, American Structurepoint developed design plans for the trail’s wayfinding signage and new pedestrian signage at the welcome center. The wayfinding signs guide visitors along the trail.

“It was truly an honor to help bring Florida’s Freedom Forever Trail to life,” said American Structurepoint Senior Project Manager Kevin Carey. “I’m proud that our company’s designs help guide visitors through a space that honors the service of veterans, encourages reflection, and promotes wellness for the center’s visitors.”
