Community Revitalization and Redevelopment of Towne Square
Xenia, Ohio
American Structurepoint was selected to transform 15.5 acres of City-owned downtown property into a new “Towne Square” development concept. The area was once a thriving commercial center before the devastating 1974 Xenia tornado. Downtown was rebuilt into a suburban-style, commercial campus with detached buildings and ample parking. As the area aged over the years, several buildings fell into disrepair, and community leaders began to imagine how to repurpose it. Now working with a private developer through a public-private partnership, the City wishes to convert the neighborhood into a $125 million mixed use district that will attract new businesses and residents to Xenia. We will be providing a wide variety of site civil and public infrastructure engineering services for new mixed-use developments, streetscape design, utility extension design, and stormwater management.
