Indianapolis, Indiana – American Structurepoint Education Practice Leader Brandon Farley, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has earned an Architecture Outstanding Service Award from the Indiana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

The award honors Farley for his professional contributions and his leadership in developing a strong pipeline of young Hoosiers poised to shape the future of architecture. Farley has led the Indiana High School Design Competition for 13 years as chairperson and has volunteered with the program for 20 years. Through Brandon’s vision and dedication to the AIA Indiana program, thousands of students have discovered the excitement and possibilities of a career in architecture.

For the past 20 years, Farley has actively engaged with the students to foster creative solutions to real-world design challenges. He also recruited fellow architects to provide real-time feedback and mentorship to the students throughout the competition. The 2025 competition received more than 100 entries showcasing the students’ creative designs for a new fire station in a historic downtown area.

“I am humbled and grateful to receive this honor from AIA Indiana,” Farley said. “The Indiana High School Design Competition offers students a unique opportunity to explore architecture and design while connecting with industry professionals for guidance and inspiration. It’s very rewarding to help young students experience architecture in a creative, hands-on way.”

With over 21 years of professional experience, including 12 with American Structurepoint, Farley leads the firm’s education practice to design and deliver environments that cultivate learning and personal growth. As the company’s director of sustainability, Farley has also guided numerous projects to achieve and often exceed sustainability goals.
