Ohio Adjutant General’s Office Tarlton Armory Renovation

The $4 million Tarlton Armory renovation is modernizing a historic 14,000-sft. facility while preserving its architectural character and strengthening its ability to support Ohio National Guard operations. The project includes comprehensive interior and exterior improvements addressing functionality, accessibility, building-envelope performance, and current operational requirements. American Structurepoint is serving as prime consultant, leading facility evaluation, architecture, interior design, historic-preservation coordination, bidding, and construction administration.

The renovation balances modern operational needs with the requirements of a historic military facility. Improvements address interior functionality, accessibility, exterior conditions, and building-envelope performance while preserving the armory’s defining architectural features.

American Structurepoint is coordinating the design with State of Ohio standards, antiterrorism/force-protection criteria, and applicable historic-preservation requirements. The firm’s services extend from initial facility evaluation and design through bidding and construction administration. The project is currently underway.
