Noble County Courthouse
The renovation of the Noble County Courthouse restored a historic civic landmark while adapting it to serve modern judicial and public needs. Decades of alterations had compromised the building’s original Federal-style character, prompting a comprehensive restoration focused on preserving historic integrity, enhancing accessibility, and improving functionality.
Original architectural features, including door casings, stamped metal ceilings, hardwood doors, courtroom furnishings, and decorative elements, were carefully restored or replicated using period-appropriate materials and craftsmanship. The courthouse’s original courtroom was returned to its historic west-facing orientation, while modern technology, security measures, accessibility upgrades, and building systems were seamlessly integrated.
