Lux on Capitol Student Apartments

This $40 million, 11-story downtown apartment and retail project adds to the growing number of housing developments targeting IUPUI students. Lux on Capitol consists of 193 units, up to 7,000 sft of small-shop space, and a parking garage at the northeast corner of Michigan Street and Capitol Avenue, a straight shot east of campus. The units range from one to four bedrooms, with a total of 600 bedrooms available. American Structurepoint provided professional services necessary to prepare a topographic survey and site development permit/construction documents, civil/site engineering and structural engineering services. Our structural engineers designed and analyzed the structural steel and concrete framing systems as well as produced construction documents.

We also managed BIM coordination for the multistory structure and parking structure, as well as design and analysis of the gravity and lateral systems, and overall coordination with the various design disciplines.
