Indiana National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility

The Indiana National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility in Shelbyville is expanding aviation maintenance and operational capabilities while preparing the installation for future aircraft requirements. The project includes a new aircraft maintenance hangar, aviation operations and support spaces, and alterations to an existing aircraft storage hangar serving UH-60 Black Hawk operations. American Structurepoint is the architect-engineer of record and lead design firm, integrating the improvements with the existing campus and flightline infrastructure.

The project brings together specialized aviation, maintenance, administrative, and support functions within an active military installation. American Structurepoint is coordinating the new construction and existing-facility alterations with ongoing aircraft operations, campus circulation, and flightline requirements.

The design incorporates accessibility and antiterrorism/force-protection criteria along with coordinated site improvements, including roads, pedestrian access, utilities, and stormwater infrastructure. The project is currently in progress.
