Celebrating 10 Years in Texas

Gene Haas Education and Training Center

American Structurepoint designed this 23,000-sft multi-tenant facility to achieve the City and Vincennes University’s combined goal of training students and veterans for high-paying jobs in industrial machining and manufacturing. The design team worked with the construction manager to develop early design documents to help inform the project budget for the City. This allowed the City to start negotiating a lease with Vincennes University for their space needs. The overall budget was $4.8 million, and since the project was awarded at $3.5 million, the City was able to apply this cost-savings toward soft costs and the furniture and finishes package. The building contains a mix of office, classroom, sales office for Haas Factory Outlet, break room, restrooms, conference rooms, and flexible lab spaces (low- and high-bay), along with a warehouse and one drive-in dock area for equipment deliveries.
