Fort Bliss Building 11676 JTF-N Coordination/Briefing Room Renovation

The renovation of Building 11676 created a modern coordination and briefing environment within an existing Fort Bliss military facility. The approximately 1,500-sft. project introduced a tiered raised-floor system supporting up to 21 integrated workstations, coordinated power and communications infrastructure, improved emergency egress, and measures to protect adjacent occupied spaces during construction. American Structurepoint provided architectural and structural design services as part of the design-build team.

The design maximized reuse of the existing foundation, walls, roof structure, and building systems, limiting demolition and reducing the need for new materials. Careful coordination of the raised-floor system, workstations, power, communications, structural requirements, and emergency egress supported the creation of a functional briefing environment within the existing facility.

American Structurepoint also provided construction-phase support through submittal reviews, responses to requests for information, site observations, and record documentation. The project was completed with zero change orders, no cost growth, and no schedule extensions, demonstrating the value of coordinated design and proactive quality control.
