Forest Park Aquatic Center Renovation

American Structurepoint partnered with the City of Noblesville, Forest Park Aquatic Center, Noblesville Schools, Babe Ruth Baseball, and community stakeholders to create a long-range vision for one of central Indiana's premier recreation destinations. Through extensive stakeholder engagement, programming, site evaluation, and conceptual design, the team developed a comprehensive master plan for a modern aquatic center and baseball complex that supports competitive swimming, diving, recreation, wellness, and community events. The study established a framework for future investment while preserving Forest Park's role as a valued community asset and regional destination.

The Forest Park Aquatic Center serves more than 40,000 visitors annually and supports a wide range of users, including recreational swimmers, competitive swim teams, diving programs, water polo clubs, fitness swimmers, and community events. Recognizing the facility's importance to Noblesville's future growth, American Structurepoint led a collaborative pre-design effort to evaluate existing conditions, identify long-term opportunities, and establish a vision for redevelopment.

The planning process included stakeholder workshops, visioning sessions, programming exercises, facility assessments, and site studies. Working alongside aquatic facility specialists Counsilman-Hunsaker, the team developed conceptual solutions that balanced community recreation, competitive aquatics, operational efficiency, and long-term flexibility. The resulting concepts included indoor and outdoor competition pools, a diving facility with Olympic-height platforms, recreation pools and water attractions, fitness and training spaces, hospitality and multipurpose facilities, concessions, support amenities, and integrated baseball facilities.

A key component of the study was exploring year-round aquatic opportunities for Noblesville and the surrounding region. Concepts included a retractable-roof natatorium, expanded spectator seating, athlete training spaces, event support facilities, and flexible recreation amenities designed to support local programming while attracting regional swimming and diving events. The final study provides a strategic roadmap for future development and investment while creating a destination that strengthens community engagement, recreation, and athletic excellence.
