Citizens Energy Group South Wellfield Evaluation

This project included hydrogeologic analysis of Citizens Energy Group’s South Wellfield to determine aquifer sustainability. The analysis also included estimating potential impacts to nearby residential wells with the replacement of the existing wells and addition of wells because the existing wells were performing at almost half of their design capacity.

The study determined the wells needed to be replaced with larger diameter wells with increased routine maintenance. American Structurepoint then designed five new high-capacity wells for the wellfield. The design of these wells included the well siting, required permitting, and construction administration for each well installation.
