Indianapolis-based Architecture and Engineering Firm American Structurepoint is excited to welcome Mike McBride, PE, to the Transportation Group. McBride will serve as the director of development, after serving more than 13 years as the City of Carmel, Indiana’s city engineer.

“After 13 years of leadership in the rapid implementation of some of the most innovative and exciting projects in the state for the City of Carmel, I was looking for a private-sector opportunity in engineering consulting that offered the same kind of high energy, forward-thinking environment in which I could continue to thrive and share my experience and knowledge with other communities in Indiana and nationwide,” said McBride. “American Structurepoint offers all of these things and more, and I am fortunate to have been made part of this outstanding team.”

Mike is a talented engineer with a wealth of "real world" experience who will be a huge asset to our firm.

McBride’s role will allow him to utilize his diverse background to help American Structurepoint’s clients recognize new opportunities and to assist with complex problems, including project intricacies such as funding, constructability, public awareness and acceptance, or leveraging of private partnerships.

American Structurepoint President and COO Rick Conner is excited to welcome McBride to the team in a leadership role, after he made numerous positive contributions to the City of Carmel.

“Mike is a talented engineer with a wealth of "real world" experience who will be a huge asset to our firm,” said Conner.

McBride started his new position at American Structurepoint on March 3, 2014.
