Shawn Goodwin, PE
Shawn Goodwin leads American Structurepoint’s private sector services for Ohio. He is responsible for building a consistent culture, developing staff, driving sales, achieving operational effectiveness, and continuing the healthy growth of all American Structurepoint’s Ohio design centers.
Shawn joined American Structurepoint in 2011 as a civil engineering manager to start the firm’s Ohio civil engineering practice. In February 2015, he was promoted to regional services director. Under his leadership, the Ohio Civil Engineering Group has grown to 24 employees over the past decade and is on pace to generate over $4 million in revenue in 2022.
Shawn has more than 19 years of experience in land development, which includes multi-family housing, single-family housing, student housing, tax credit and HUD financed housing, brownfield redevelopment, assisted living, institutional, civic, commercial/retail, and public/private partnerships. He has extensive experience in conceptual planning, zoning, stormwater management, erosion control, site grading, utility infrastructure, cost estimation, construction administration, and permitting.
Shawn enjoys an exceptional reputation in the industry for working closely with owners and developers to maximize a property’s development potential with efficient and economical solutions to suit a client’s needs.
