Ricardo Zamarripa, PE
Ricardo oversees operations of our two Texas design centers, located in Austin and Round Rock. Ricardo has 22 years of experience in engineering design, quality management, sales, and operations management. His professional expertise and management skills have been instrumental in building the American Structurepoint presence in Texas for both statewide TxDOT work and local work with counties and municipalities. TxDOT wins have provided the firm projects in the Austin, Amarillo, Bryan, Houston, Lubbock, Odessa, and San Angelo districts.
The majority of Ricardo’s career has involved planning and designing improvements to Texas’ public transportation system, including rural and urban roadways, as well as toll road project management. He also has experience in managing bridge inspection, traffic, municipal, and civil engineering departments.
Ricardo is a former president of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers Travis Chapter, chair-elect of the Central Texas American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), steering committee member of ACEC Public Policy Council, and participates in several committees for the Heart of Texas Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS). Due to Ricardo's outstanding achievements, leadership, and contributions to the field of transportation in general and to the advancement of women in transportation, he was a 2016 WTS Man of the Year nominee.
