With over 20 years of experience, Joel has planned, designed, and managed numerous healthcare projects for the VA, DoD, and private sector worldwide. He focuses on delivering world-class designs using the latest trends in healthcare technology while implementing evidence-based design concepts. Joel is dedicated to delivering quality documents and facilitating collaboration among the client, contractor, and design team on every project. His work designing and managing healthcare facility projects for the VA has been recognized with multiple gold awards for outstanding performance while executing the task orders. Joel’s medical DoD experience includes leadership positions in architecture and overall quality control of documentation for a $950 million, 1.2 million-sft replacement hospital at Fort Bliss, Texas; senior interior project architect for a $1 .1 billion, 1.25 million sft replacement hospital at Fort Belvoir, Virginia; and senior interior project architect/assistant project manager for the 42,000-sm USAG Humphries Hospital and Ambulatory Care Center in Seoul, Korea. With the aid of his leadership, the design teams received an A+ on their ACASS rating from the DoD on both the Fort Belvoir and USAG Humphries Replacement Hospital projects.
