A portion of a 40,000-sft mall sustained damaged from a fire. American Structurepoint conducted a cause and origin investigation and determined the fire was the result of an electrical failure in a tenant’s grocery store. The scope of the project also included the structural reconstruction design. The reconstruction design included analysis of the older structure’s fire separations for compliance with current building code.
