American Structurepoint was selected to prepare an interchange modification study (IMS) to determine the improvements needed to the interchange of I-70 and SR 9 in Belmont County to minimize traffic congestion and accommodate future traffic. The study includes traffic capacity analysis to determine whether additional lanes are needed on the I-70 mainline. The project includes Steps 1 through 9 of the ODOT Minor Project Development Process (PDP). The project also includes an environmental review of the study area, traffic counts and projections, analysis of future traffic under existing conditions. The scope of services for the project includes roadway and bridge design; maintenance of traffic; traffic signal design; signing and pavement markings; and drainage improvements.
