This locally funded project included the construction of approximately 0.8 mile of new, 2-lane divided roadway and a new 2-lane roundabout. This new roadway provides additional access to new developments in the Old Meridian redevelopment area. The roadway also incorporates multiple aesthetic treatments, including a multi-lane roundabout with decorative pavement and brick accents, a variable-width median designed to minimize impact to existing wooded areas, and on-street parking lanes. Due to the large amount of redevelopment in the area, American Structurepoint also coordinated among the City, local development, and land owners.

The following are sustainable aspects of this project:
  • Roundabouts keep traffic moving and drastically reduce idle time and emissions
  • The varying-width median was designed to avoid damage to existing trees
  • Bicycle and pedestrian facilities are provided to promote alternative methods of transportation
