This project will realign 1.2 miles of Wales Road and 0.6 mile of Drouillard Road with grade separations at the CSX and Norfolk Southern railroads. Three railroad crossings will be eliminated along Wales Road and Drouillard Road. The new roadway will span the CSX railroad with a 2-span (136') composite prestressed concrete I-beam bridge with MSE walls.  It will span the Norfolk Southern Railroad with a single-span (140') composite steel girder bridge with MSE walls. The scope of services includes engineering services to complete the ODOT Preliminary Development Process and the Final Design Process. The design provides for minimal impact on the overhead power transmission line with a retaining wall. Design responsibilities include roadway, bridge and drainage design, guardrail, signing, pavement markings, a service road justification study, and retaining wall design.
