American Structurepoint conducted a sub-area transportation study to analyze alternate locations for a new interchange along I-64. The analysis includes preliminary geometrics, environmental impacts, and cost estimates of alternates. Recommendations from the study are incorporated into the Harrison County Thoroughfare Plan. The project includes developing questionnaires to obtain public opinion, conducting public meetings, coordinating with INDOT, establishing a consensus for preferred location for the new interchange, and assisting County officials with funding opportunities. This study serves as a precursor to a preliminary engineering study and interchange justification study.
