This project widened 5.5 miles of roadway from US 421/SR 39 to Indiana Beach, one of Indiana’s largest open-air seasonal amusement parks. The new road consists of a 3-lane section – one lane in each direction with a center 2-way left-turn lane – including curb and gutter and a sidewalk. The project also improved the existing bridge over the Honey Creek Bay of Lake Shafer by raising it to allow more boats to pass safely underneath.
