American Structurepoint designed the structure and foundation system for this 4-story office building. Due to poor soils at the project site, American Structurepoint prepared two bid options for the foundation system: drilled piers and micro-piles (micro-piles were selected for economy). American Structurepoint also designed a reinforced concrete culvert bridge and the foundations for a prefabricated pedestrian bridge to connect remote parking areas with the building. For maximum economy, this building was framed with structural steel, steel joists and joist girders, and concrete slabs on composite steel deck. American Structurepoint teamed with the steel fabricator to deliver the framing package while aggressively coordinating with the project architect, M/E/P consultants, architectural precast supplier, glass curtain wall supplier, elevator supplier, and fire protection consultant to ensure coordination of the design prior to start of construction. During construction American Structurepoint worked closely with the developer to help keep the project on schedule and performed field observations to review conformance of the construction with the design documents.
