This new juvenile facility includes areas to house the functions of secure detention, shelter care, probation, probation violators, student programs, and intake. The building is single story with skylights and clerestory windows for daylight. The housing dayrooms were constructed of barrel-vaulted standing seam metal roofs. This facility is part of a master plan judicial complex, which currently includes the Hamilton County Adult Correctional Facility and Community Corrections. The new facility added 131 beds to the existing 21-bed, 9,000-sft Juvenile Center. The site is large enough to provide for future expansion.
