This 10-story, 347,000-sft office building adds premium office space to a high visibility site in this thriving community. The building is clad with a precast concrete and glass curtain wall façade and features a 5-story-high atrium and elevator tower connection to an adjacent parking structure. Value engineering prior to the start of the design phase determined open-web steel joist and joist girders provided the most economical framing solution with conventional cast-in-place concrete foundations. Design of this structure was provided under a design-build arrangement in conjunction with the project steel fabricator, with guaranteed pricing set prior to start of design. Attention to cost control throughout design was a key element to the success of this project. Aggressive coordination with the owner and other members of the design team is critical to allow completion of this project on time and within budget.

The following are sustainable aspects of this project:
  • Awarded LEED® Core and Shell Certification by the USGBC
  • Structural aspects qualified for five LEED® points: recycled content (two points), regional materials (two points), innovation in design (one point)
