American Structurepoint conducted a sub-area transportation study to determine the operations and impacts of a new interchange along I-65. The study included developing land-use planning projects for a 50-square-mile area in Lake County. The analysis included preliminary geometrics, operational analyses, environmental impacts, and project cost estimates of alternate interchange locations. The project was coordinated with stakeholders and jurisdictional agencies lying within the study area. This combined planning and traffic operations study will supplement the Northwestern Regional Planning Commission’s Vision 2030 Plan and will be a precursor to an interchange justification study.
