This project included the redesign of approximately 1,350’ of Clough Pike from Cider Mill Drive to just east of Delmont Drive.  The existing 2-lane roadway was widened to a 3-lane section to accommodate additional opposing left-turn lanes at the intersection of Clough Pike and Ivy Pointe Boulevard.  Ivy Pointe Boulevard was also widened to a 3-lane section to include a southbound left-turn lane.  The project included lowering the roadway profile to obtain positive drainage where possible and the design of a new storm sewer system to accommodate the change in the roadway cross section.  The design of a traffic signal and through final plans was completed for the intersection of Clough Pike and Ivy Pointe Boulevard.  Additionally, the project included the design of approximately 700’ of water line, new signage, and new ornamental lighting adjacent to the Clough Pike/Ivy Pointe Boulevard intersection.  Right-of-way takes were also determined to accommodate the improvements.
