American Structurepoint prepared design/build contract documents and 30 percent complete design plans for reconstruction of six miles of I-70 between the I-65 north split and the I-465 interchange in Indianapolis. Engineering services included bridge inspection and recommendations for rehabilitation, as well as an Engineer's Report for ramp adjustments at three interchanges. The project replaced 75 lane miles of pavement and 28 bridge decks, widened the interstate by 8' on each side, and reconstructed I-70 over Sherman Drive, which had been an underpass. New retaining wall design eliminated the need for additional right-of-way. New highway signs, lighting, and ITS relocation were also part of this project.
