This bridge replacement project is located on US 68 approximately 1.14 miles south of the US 68 and SR 350 intersection. It consisted of the replacement of a single-span, 29’-span steel beam bridge with a timber floor over a tributary to East Fork of Todd’s Fork. A new 20’ x 10’ precast concrete box culvert was constructed to replace the existing bridge. Traffic was maintained during construction using temporary traffic signals and a single traffic lane. Hydraulic analysis was performed using the ODOT PEAKFLOW and USACE HEC-RAS computer modeling and checked using Haested Methods Culvertmaster. The structure was constructed using part-width construction, with traffic maintained using one lane in both directions. The approximate project length was 250’.
