This bridge replacement project is located on SR 22 just west of Wilmington. It replaced the deteriorated existing cast-in-place 30'-span concrete culvert over a tributary of Lytle Creek with a new single-span, closed, prefabricated concrete box structure with headwalls on the existing alignment with minimal approach work. A complete hydraulic analysis of existing and proposed structures was completed to determine the appropriate proposed structure size and length required to satisfy ODOT hydraulic requirements. The structure was constructed using part-width construction with traffic maintained using a signal controlling one lane in each direction. The approximate project length is 250 feet.
