This interchange improvement project for I-70 and SR 9 in Belmont County includes Steps 1 through 9 of the ODOT Minor Project Development Process (PDP), as well as an environmental review of the study area, traffic counts and projections, and analysis of future traffic under existing conditions.  The scope of services for the project includes roadway and bridge design, maintenance of traffic, traffic signal design, signing and pavement markings, and drainage improvements. An interchange modification study (IMS) was prepared to determine the improvements needed to minimize traffic congestion and accommodate future traffic. The study includes traffic capacity analysis to determine whether additional lanes are needed on the I-70 mainline.
