The US 24 Fort to Port Project located near Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, includes significant permitting efforts, including an individual Section 404 Permit, individual Section 401 Permits, and multiple Construction in a Floodway Permits. Over 5,000 linear feet of stream mitigation and over 15 acres of wetland mitigation are currently being designed for impacts along the new 11-mile stretch of US 24. In addition to the continuous coordination with the US Army Corps of Engineers and Indiana Department of Environmental Management, American Structurepoint has also had to work closely with the Allen County Drainage Board to obtain the appropriate permits to construct approximately 5,000 linear feet of stream mitigation along two designated legal drains. American Structurepoint was also responsible for preparing a reevaluation document to amend the approved Environmental Impact Statement prepared for the US 24 Fort to Port Corridor. The reevaluation document was required to evaluate the two parcels of land to be used for potential mitigation.
