American Structurepoint, Inc., has been ranked the number one Indiana-based design firm by “Midwest Construction” magazine, which recently released its list of the Midwest region’s Top 80 Designers in its October/November 2010 issue. The firm has also been named the fifth best company over its regional competitors, up from sixth top firm last year.

Each year, designers with a permanent office in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, or Wisconsin are ranked by their 2009 billings. American Structurepoint achieved its ranking based on market position holdings of 55.47 percent in the transportation sector, 13.18 percent in the general building sector, and 12.5 percent in the sewerage/solid waste sector, for a total revenue of $50.06 million per year.

"Midwest Construction" magazine has also ranked American Structurepoint among the best Midwest companies in the following categories:

• Master-Planned Development/Site Infrastructure -
  Rank: 3, worth $2.39 million in annual revenue
• Manufacturing - Rank: 3, $1.82 million
• Transportation - Rank: 5, $27.77 million
• Sewerage/Solid Waste - Rank: 10, $6.26 million
• Commercial - Rank: 11, $1.50 million
• Government/Public Service - Rank: 14, $1.42 million
• Health Care - Rank: 22, $1.76 million

According to “Midwest Construction” magazine, the Midwest’s Top 80 Designers reached $1.7 billion total in regional billings in 2009, despite the national economic downturn affecting the construction industry.
