Bicycling is continuing to grow as both an option for recreation, as well as for a viable transportation option. While Indiana has enjoyed growth in bicycle trails, there are many options and trends for bicycle facilities to improve the climate for bicycle as transportation. This presentation will explore new trends in bicycle facilities and also examine a case study of how one Indiana community has incorporated some of these facilities in a recent “complete streets” design for their main street.
