Range Line Road Corridor

American Structurepoint provided program management services for the entire corridor project, which included a public outreach campaign, right-of-way engineering and management, land acquisition, conceptual design and renderings, financial tracking, traffic studies, and high-level regional traffic management analysis. American Structurepoint also provided design engineering services for roundabouts at three intersections – 116th, Medical, and Executive Drive – and for all the connection pieces in between all six roundabouts. American Structurepoint also provided landscape architecture and streetscape design for the entire corridor.

A landscaped center median along the corridor eliminated left-hand turns. Six intersections along the corridor were enhanced by removing traffic signals and building six roundabouts. Decorative crosswalks were raised to be higher than the road to slow traffic, and movable planters and additional landscaping separated multi-use paths from traffic. The road diet replaced a large, multi-lane, uninviting expanse of roadway with an inviting, aesthetically pleasing boulevard that promotes better safety for all forms of transportation and travelers using the corridor.
