American Structurepoint has been recognized as one of the 2016 Best Employers in Ohio. The annual list of the Best Employers in Ohio was created by the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management State Council and Best Companies Group.

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Ohio, benefitting the state’s economy, its workforce, and businesses. The 2016 Best Employers in Ohio list is comprised of 39 companies; rankings will be released in May.

American Structurepoint has maintained an office in Columbus since 1999. The staff has grown to over 50 experts, working across multiple disciplines to provide innovative solutions in house to save clients time and money. Columbus-based professionals provide transportation, surveying, investigative, site/civil, structural, construction inspection, and environmental services to our Central Ohio clients.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

• Be a for-profit, non-for-profit business, or government entity

• Be a publically or privately held business

• Have a facility in the state of Ohio

• Have at least 15 employees working in Ohio

• Must be in business a minimum of one year

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Employers in Ohio. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration process in Ohio and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.
